A New Beginning

Hello and welcome to the first iteration of the Forgotten Pixel blog, the number one place for all things Forgotten Pixel! In the past we’ve only used blogs for our games, but we decided to start this Forgotten Pixel blog to share exciting updates regarding Forgotten Pixel that have been going on behind the scenes.
We’ve been really quiet for the past few months, but there’s been a reason for that. We’ve been working on redesigning Forgotten Pixel from the ground up and we’re considering this to be a brand new beginning for us.
Although Forgotten Pixel was technically founded in June 2015, we haven’t done much since then and I had to take a short break and rethink what I wanted Forgotten Pixel to actually be. When Forgotten Pixel was first founded Fraser (the other co-founder) and I had little game development experience, and it was intended to be more of a learning experience rather than a proper games development studio. Obviously over time that has changed since we learnt more about game development and built up a small team at Forgotten Pixel but it still remained a learning project due to the foundations that were in place. After a lot of consideration we decided to redesign ourselves (i.e. logo and website), reconsider what type of games we want to make and improve our use of social media to share updates, and with all these new plans we’ve made we feel we’ve put FP on the right path for the future.
Now that I’ve gotten our history and plans out of the way, let’s talk about some of the exciting updates that have happened for Forgotten Pixel recently. The first thing I wanted to share is our new logo as this will be at the forefront of everything we do. When designing this logo I tried to make it so it looks visually pleasing, minimalistic, and easily recognisable and settled on the text logo below.
We’ve also been working on making an entirely new website for Forgotten Pixel from the ground up to give us more control over the website itself. This website has been designed to be visually appealing and load as fast as possible by reducing all clutter and dependencies, but don’t take our word for it, check out the rest of the website after you’ve read this blog post and let us know what you think.
Another really cool thing I’m excited to mention is that we will begin working on some new projects. I won’t tell you what these projects are just yet (some things have to remain secret 😉) but keep an eye on our social media (especially our Twitter) as we’ll be sharing the projects on there very soon!
That’s all for this blog post, we hope you enjoyed reading about some of our recent updates and we look forward to sharing more exciting updates in the near future!
